A terrible place. The staff are plain rude and it has always been obvious that it used to be a shop, it used to be better but it never felt like a pub to me

The Bald Faced Stag, East Finchley

This is one of the closest pubs to me and as such I do tend to use it now and then, it used to be a Mr Q's pool pub which was terrible, before that there was a time they only sold swan lager in cans! No draught beer.
The pub is resonably large but most of it is taken up by the rear restaurant, the food is very good but comes at a price, although it isn't outrageous by todays standards, the beer is well kept and the staff are friendly, unlike most of the pubs in the area they seem to remember you when you've been in a few times which is a nice touch. The only sticking point is that it seems to be a bit short on seating, I don't like settees in pubs and they take up a lot of space, if they got rid of these there would be more seating space. In conclusion it is a decent friendly pub and East Finchley realy needed one.
