The Butlers Arms, Pleasington

Shocking!! Shocking food and shocking customer service attitude! Having ordered Steak Rossini [medium] and Lamb cutlets we noticed that there were few others dining from the average choice on the menu. We soon found out why, the steak was overcooked and the Lamb chops were very chewy, almost impossible to cut even with the serrated knife. Worse was to come however when we questioned the quality of the steak - the manager came over and to say his customer service attitude was poor would be to compliment Basil Fawlty! We were make to feel embarrassed to have questioned the food at all and on chatting to other customers at the bar before we made a hasty retreat, we found that we weren't the only ones to have found the food and in particular the service severely lacking. No attempt at reconciliation was made. A most unpleasant evening for two usually easy to please ladies - buyer beware!! �40 plus for two 24th January 2010
