The Railway, Stockport

Excellent range of beers both British and foreign, on my visit there were 12 real ales on hand pump, 9 lagers and 20-30 bottled beers. I went for the Amstel which was very well kept and traditionally served with glass at exactly the correct angle, very good. Unfortunately no draught Guinness so had to settle for the bottled.

The Wrens Nest, Glossop

Good carvery which is very good value. Also they now have put on the Stella 4% lager which was excellent (I always find the Stella regular a bit to strong). Guinness not the best kept in Glossop unfortunately. Comfortable and well worth a visit.

Queens Arms, Glossop

This pub has added to its range of draught beers, I used to stick to the John Smiths smooth or Guinness, both of which were always on great form, both with a rich smooth, creamy head. They've now added the excellent Coors Light which is one of the most refreshing beers I've tasted. The pub also now has it's own Indian restaurant upstairs.
