Duffy's, North Ealing

A very strange place indeed.....used this pub on an on and off basis for years.
Food is excellent and the beer is well kept with quick service even when very busy, the bar staff mostly think they are heading for the big time and far to good for their jobs,.
To the left of the bar is a large bunch of middle aged bigots and to the far right a bunch of wannabe millionaires with attitude.
The few normal punters tend to sit or stand in the middle and avoid conversation at all costs with the groups to the right or left , not a problem as this is a very unfriendly pub and its unlikely anyone will talk to you anyway.
At the rear is a delightful little garden but it is used as a staff youth club and is full of drunken youngsters who i would suggest are not just of there heads on alchopops......
There is an air of violence from the malel members of these groups and constant screaming from the girls that will pierce your eardrums...during the winter this rabble move inside and on a recent visit my 6 year old had to listen to constant use of the f and c word by one drunken yob who was falling over spilling his red wine over people .Not a nice way to enjoy your Sunday lunch.
We tried the breakfast once and at 11am on a Sunday morning the staff were slaughtered and again had the rabble with them falling over all over the place....shocking
Pitshanger lane is a lovly family area and this pub used to be fantastic and could be again but until they clear out the idiots The Kent up the road is more refined and wont tolerate anti social behavior.
On a final note everyone should be allowed to have fun especially the young but when it interferes with everyone elses enjoyment this is wrong!
I wll score a four for the quick service ,good ale and excellent food, will hope if i ever go back things have changed.
