The Royal Standard of England, Beaconsfield

Visited for the first time in years recently. A great selection of beers & lagers, and I must say the food and service was excellent. And car-parking never likely to be a problem!

The Bugle Horn, Aylesbury

My first visit - basically a chain foody pub, but the food was good, and reasonably priced. More importantly, they sell Staropramen on draught - excellent! And mind your head when you go to the gents - unless you're below about 5'5"!

Overall, a nice atmosphere, attentive staff, quite pleasant decor, good food & drink. If you're after a sensibly-priced food pub in the area, you won't go far wrong here. Didn't get the impression it was much of a "locals" pub, though.

The Leather Bottle, Hemel Hempstead

Most impressed on my first visit - proper old pub with loads of character. Really good value proper food (which tasted good too!). Mind the ceiling, however!
