Red Lion, Rye

My husband and I visited the pub on Saturday 22nd August 2009 and had lunch there. The food was great. I had grilled skate wing with new potatoes and peas, hubbie had homemade steak and onion pie with chips and veg. Prices were very reasonable too, under �20 for both. Hubbie was very happy with the choice of ale, he sampled Harveys and Gravesend Shrimper and was delighted with his choice. The lady behind the bar was very friendly and made you feel 'like a local' immediately. The food was served quickly and was piping hot. I would definitely recommend this pub for a lovely lunch with friendly banter.
