The Brewery Tap, Chester

Visited on a quiet Tuesday evening. The moment you step through the door you feel you are stepping back in history.. Beers range from their own Spitting Feathers Quench thirster to their special. Guest beers make this a great range. Food excellent. The choice of two types of pie - very recommended.

The staff were very engaging, service lightening quick - this is a great pub with a history.

The Crown Inn, Goostrey

Food fine on a Sunday lunchtime but I dont know if it was just unlucky but the service we received although pleasant was irritatingly slow. 45 mins for the soup and the restaurant was only half full.

Also the lady at the front of the house was in a bad mood and was distinctly lacking in smiles or humour.

The Plumbers Arms, Victoria

Agree this is a fairly unremarkable pub except for its notoriety. At 9.45pm on the night of 7th November 1974, a distressed and bloodstained woman burst into the bar. She was the Countess of Lucan, who had fled from her home at number 46, leaving behind her three children.

The London Pride was ok and food reasonable for Belgravia but there are better pubs around in a fairly 2thin" area of good pubs.
