The Waggoners, Ayot Green
More of a restaurant than a pub now but that's not a bad thing! They serve food in the bar which clearly benefits from the excellent restaurant influence. They have decent beer on tap and a proper cider too (Stowford Press). The bar food is at the top end of the price range but worth every penny. The bar menu may be a little limited but why do many mediocre dishes when you can do a few excellent ones!
