Had a great pint of Brew XI! Dropped by Saturday afternoon and there was an easy atmosphere with shoppers dropping by for a swift one. Fantastic range of ales and the food as also good - worth the wait! Recommended

Great rotation of real ale with Jennings Cumberland as the default. Honest village pub which hasn't been mucked about with, long may it continue.

The traditional exterior of the pub is in sharp contrast to the inside - which, err, is not. It might not be to your taste if you are averse to more than a little camouflage green. Must admit, it was a little disappointing at first, but I was truly won over by the fantastically well kept ale and the good atmosphere. There's obviously a lot of work gone in to the place after the fire damage - so full marks for re-opening.
