The Lion Inn, Trellech

I wish there were more pubs like this one. Its well used by the locals but they were friendly and welcoming to visitors like us and our dog. Called in for a lunch time pint - good selection of real ales on hand pumps (gravity would have been better!), and enjoyed it so much we went back again the next evening for an excellent meal.

The menu is varied and should suit most tastes - although we didn't try the kangaroo steaks! Prices are reasonable, with excellent service from the welcoming staff.

We look forward to our next visit.
