The Jolly Miller, North Warnborough

I'm sorry but to describe this place as actually still being a 'Pub' is simply misleading. I'm no expert as to the quality of the Thai cuisine (I suggest you simply see the previous review for comment) but I do wonder just how big the demand will truly be for this kind of specialist menu around here once the novelty wears off? Don't get me wrong, I honestly do wish the business every success for the future. However, I can't help but feel a bit 'sad' that out of a total of seven local 'pubs' (not counting either The George Hotel or The Millhouse) one has now gone (burnt down), two remain unchanged but the other four are all now restaurants! I guess this is a sign of the times for the industry as a whole across the UK, adapt or die! It's just a real shame that rural pubs in places like Odiham are all rapidly turning into places where 'non-locals' just visit to dine!...God I really do miss not having either a pool table or a proper juke-box! There's a line from the Kevin Costner film 'Field of Dreams' which seems fitting.....'Build it and they WILL come!'.....I rest my case!.....I'm Morethan Freeman...thank you for listening!
