The Gate Hangs High, Hook Norton

This is a hardworking pub. It serves decent Hook Norton beer and homemade food. There is a good mix of locals and visitors. Very large garden perfect for children. Facilities to camp and caravan. Down to earth with ordinary drinkers on one hand : the sort of place you can take visitors for dinner on the other. A good time was had by all.

The Red Lion, Chipping Norton

I liked this traditional pub. It was just as it probabaly always has been - I think some people call them "taphouses". The beer was good and the people were friendly. I went and was tickled by a vegetable producee competition there - plenty of people to talk to - it seems well loved by a few. Hook Norton beer. A great little hideaway.

The King's Head, Bledington

A good middle of the road pub - done out in the standard style. Interesting menu, four real ales which were kept well. Staff not particularly friendly but adequate. Lots of space to find a corner though clearly geared towards eating rather than drinking.
