The Sandpiper, Ormskirk

This is more an eatery than a place to just drink - although many do that as well. There's a couple of ales on at any one time and always top quality. The staff are brilliant without exception. The food is fantastic and well worth a try. A little out of the way and not the sort of place to get smashed with a load of mates, but this place is great. Give it a go.

The Ship Inn, Haskayne

Great location, good selection of beers, ok staff. Don't know about the food these days (it was good years ago). Went there last week, the glasses were absolutely filthy, Sandgrounder beer tasted off, and I missed 2 days work due to gastroenteritis and still don't feel right.
