The John Harvey Tavern, Lewes

Good pub, good food. Good service. Good mix of people, alwats busy.

You wont find a better Harveys (I asked what their old ale was like, the person behind the bar directed my question at the chap sitting next to me at the bar, who turns out to be the head brewer or similar for Harveys!). Of course, pulled me a small sample as well (it turns out it was very drinable).

Dorset Arms, Lewes

Good pub. Friendly helpful staff, good food and nice suroundings. Has a slight (upmarket) chain feel to it, and there are times I feel I should be frequenting somewhere a little more 'local'ish but at the end of the day, often choose here for a good drink in a nice place. says it all.
