The Winning Post, Whitton

I've been to The Winning Post on and of for about 10 years now and it seems to have been run into the ground due to cost cutting. I feel quite sorry for the staff who have to bare the brunt of us customer's frustration at the fact that there's 1 or 2 behind the bar even on busy days. On rugby days the car park's packed full of cars all paying a premium, it would be nice to see these thousands going to charity rather than the Landlord's pocket.

The Tide End Cottage, Teddington

I said earlier that The Tide end is very welcoming, well it still is but there's no point welcoming people in if the barstaff are just going to chat to the half dozen locals at the end of the bar and ignore anyone else who needs serving.

The Tide End Cottage, Teddington

The Tide End Cottage is a nicely run tidy pub. If The Anglers nextdoor is a summer pub then this is perfect for Autumn/Winter evenings when a cosy friendly pub is very welcome.
