The Grove Arms Inn, Ludwell

Bar staff were nice and friendly and no problem taking dogs in. However, although the food prices were reasonable, the carvery was a disgrace. Under cooked ham and over cooked and gristly beef accompanied by soggy roast pots. Next to no salad / vegetables left if within 20 mins of end of sitting and nobody seemed to care too much about that. Top this off with congealed gravy and there you have it. Sorry, but thats an honest opinion.

The Talbot Inn, Berwick St John

Nice pub in general with good disabled facilities and welcoming for dogs and families. However, they are closed on Sunday and Monday night completely which is a waste of time if you have travelled to this remote village. Cook is over exerting his/herself we felt .Chicken Jalfrezi was nice but should gave been termed a stir fry for all the curry flavour there was. Similarly the cajun chicken . Prices quite high considering, but stick to the basics and you will be satisfied well enough.
