If you like babies, brats, and stuck up your own ar*e yuppies go there! As a member of CAMRA this pub is the pits for serving real ale. Sometimes there are a couple of ales on tap but they are usually rubbish (often cloudy/sour and bloody expensive). The Governer has no idea how to keep a decent cellar.
Ask for an ordinary whisky and the reply is "we dont stock it". Just the expensive malt brands on show.
I wouldn't dare try their food having seen it prepared on the unclean tables in the bar during the afternoon.
If you don't order food (obviously their main scource of income) staff just don't want to know you.
Go to the brand new re-furbished GARDENERS (next door) for a decent pint and and a friendly welcome.
