Ye Olde Cheshire Cheese Inn, Castleton

Real good beer just slightly too cold leaving a chill haze!! But overall well kept and tasted ok when warmed up to room temp.. Food though Quite poor especially the over cooked frozen chips!!!

The Old Hall Inn, Hope

What a quiet pub...... Well yes it is because the food is aweful and i mean aweful. Tough Steak rude staff and cold chips.. As for the Beer, Run of the mill not very well kept Rubbish.. If you want Good Beer travel up the road to Castleton and try the Chesire cheese or the Nags head now there proper cask ale pubs!!!

Ye Olde Nags Head, Castleton

BEER... Well what can you say about the Nags Head? I've been here loads over the years and seen staff come and go at a rate of knots...
The Cask lines have increased and the old regulars of Lanlord & Black Sheep kept. The temperature of the beer has improved immensely used to be far too cold.
Spoke to young chap behind the bar regarding the ales, He wasn't that knowledgable about them but knew which breweries they came from though. He told me that the chef had took over running the hotel and spent a lot of time in the cellar looking after the ale. The price and quality of the cask is really good now and would recommend anyone touring castleton to pop in and try. Keep up the good work chef whoever you are.
