The Cock Inn, Halstead

First time in this pub absolutely brilliant . Chose haddock from the menu .first class meal. Met Andy the chef he obviously has some great ideas for the place. Returned to bar had a very good pint of harveys and watched the rugby on an amazing screen superb definition very busy but surprisingly roomy so quite a pleasant atmosphere .Attractive upper bar. Will return to try Sunday roast and also the jazz afternoon. Halstead has redeemed itself! I know which pub to go to now.

The White Hart, Brasted

First visit since the refurb and was very pleasantly surprised at how well it's turned out. This pub contrasts very well with others in the area now and definitely provides an up market feel. Yes it is a shame that the past is lost but there are numerous country pubs in the immediate area and the white hart now stands out once again.
Perfectly good choice of beers and an excellent cocktail range.

The Duke of York, Marylebone

Visited this pub for first time on Friday evening. Nothing special about the place very run down for such an important location. As stated by an reviewer looks very attractive from the outside. Bombadier was off and the pride was nothing to write home about . We moved on.
