How can anyone call this a Fish and Chip takeaway ? The fact that the place (or should that be plaice) is always busy and you definitely need to book in advance to avoid disappointment is a sign of how good the food in particular is. It's not cheap but it is worth every penny as it is obvious how much attention to detail goes into its preparation and cooking. Well worth the effort to find and keep going back to

The Ladybower Inn, Bamford

How can anyone complain about this pub. We went in for lunch having spent the morning walking on a muddy hillside and came away wishing we could bring the Ladybower back down south with us. Really good range of beer on offer and the food was something else. Can thoroughly recommend the pork loin on a bed of bubble and squeak.

The Tarrington Arms, Tarrington

First time visit and we will be going back. Attentive but unobtruisve staff made us feel very welcome without ever being in our faces. Not only was the food extremely good value it was well presented and of a really good quality. Too often recently we have eaten bought in desserts and it was a pleasure to be served real home made fayre. Imaginative sauces with the main course as well.
