Ha ha - Bumble1, I have to agree with your wife - the toilets are spotless. A pet hate of mine are dirty, smelly, toilets in pubs. Love this pub! Went there with hubby today - nice garden , good service and yes - horror! they were wearing uniforms/waistcoats!! OMG!!!!!!!!!!! What a pleasant change to be served by someone who actually wants to be there - not like some of the kids you get behind some town centre bars nowadays. Honestly, you ask for a drink and anyone would have thouhgt you had asked them to run down the road with no clothes on!!!

Wow! Finally this stunning, picturesque, English village has a pub that is worth visiting! I visited The William Bray today for lunch with my husband and was amazed. Everything about it was fantastic! The refurb has been fantastic, the food was cooked to perfection, there was a good selection of wine and beer, the staff were friendly and approchable and of course the setting is quintessensially English. We will definitely be going back and I would say that the owners of "the other pub in the village" need to buck their ideas up - this new pub is serious competition.

Awful place with awful, chavvy, bouncers. We tried to get in last night - not my choice but we were meeting family and friends in there for a birthday party - one bouncer stamped my hand and husbands hand, then as we tried to get in another jerk in a suit told my husband he wasn't allowed in because he was drunk - WTF!!!!! He was not drunk. These aresholes on the door seriously need to be changed but the biggest joke of all were the hoodies and 18 year old kids that they were letting in - actually 3 of them fell out of the door in a fight while we were talking to the "bouncer" - but they wouldn't let in a couple of professional 30 somethings!! In hindsight I think we had a lucky escape - if thats the sort of clientele they want then they can have it. I will stick to more classy establishments in future!
