The Ladas, Epsom

Walked past this pub today, had noticed it had been closed for last few weeks, spoke to a fella scrubbing the patio, who said it was going to be a "regular pub" and opening towards the end of this week, having not been in here for a good couple of years will check it out, fella said they are open "by invitation only" on Derby day, told him I might look for an invite as most boozers in epsom close for the "big day".

The Anchor Inn, Godalming

Popped in here on the way back to a friends house from the town centre, I and said friend (despite living 200 yards down the road), had not been in here for a few years, my friend had been in a few months ago and said the place was a bit moody, we had a great pint served by a charming lady in what I believe to be the cleanest pub I have been in for some time (without the smell of bleach, why do they clean the floors with bleach sometimes).

The crowd was mixed and not to clicky as it used to be years ago, and my friends going back to try out the carvery at the weekend.

Nice pub, recommended.

The Red Lion, Godalming

Great pub, seems to suffer unfairly from passers by comments such as beersupper who always seems to pass by, pop in pubs but rarely adds any substance to his comments.

had not been to godalming for some time, I think the landlord has a great range of Beers, had a pint of Ringwood, was a fine pint, mentioned dog was not around and people were eating quite happily, if I remember there is a courtyard out back, maybe its been banished there.

Decor and friendly service were a bonus, I remeber coming here about 5 years ago and the beer being shocking overstocked, out of date (bottles) and alot grubbier, only comment would be to loose the doggy evidence of toys and hair before lunch is served.

Will be back...
