The Chequers, Sutton

Our local pub. Nice tradional pub. Could be a treasure in the heart of the village. The problem is with the present owners, the welcome is none exsistent and the bar staff, particularly an american, are positively hostile! We've perservered, going several times and sometimes being the only customers, and have actually be told that we've been keeping the onwers up as they like to close early on a monday. This is despite the four of us being big drinkers! Terrible pub avoid.
