The Glen Rothay Hotel and Badger Bar, Rydal

Passed on here and on the way from Grasmere to Ambleside. Didn't look anything special from the outside being attached to the hotel but do not let this deceive you. Great choice of local ales on pump and bottles from the Winster Brewery available in bottles to drink in our take out. V friendly with discount for CAMRA members.

Tweedies Bar at Dale Lodge Hotel, Grasmere

Best range of real ales we found in the lakes, spoilt for choice. Legendary Cumbrian Ales, Hawkshead, Barngates and Yates was complimented with a couple of beers from outside the county. Now offering discount for CAMRA members. Also a huge beer garden.

The Drunken Duck Inn, Barngates

Visited whilst walking from Ambleside to Coniston. Good choice of their ales so well worth a visit. Heavily leaned towards diners so we was happy sat in the beer garden with a great view of the Ambleside area in the background.
