This place has possibly relied on being vegie as a USP for too long. Not bad, but doesn't seem to make the effort to be great either.

The Bat and Ball, Brighton

Very violent fight erupted in there the other night just as we walked up to the door. Woldn't be so bad, but it's so small that flying glass could et anyne in there. There's better pubs within 100 yards in any direction.

The Geese Have Gone Over The Water, Brighton

Urban legend has it that it was called 'The Geese', however the sign writer had to admit he couldn't paint geese once he'd done the background, so suggested that thay might have flown over the water?

Anyway, it's a lot like the Dover Castle (if a bit more 'hugger mugger')just up the hill in many many ways, so if you can do without the beer garden of the Castle, and want to save your knees, pop in.
