Typical Youngs Pub, high ceiling lots of space serving good Special. Unfortunately let down by a lack of staff - quiet Tuesday lunchtime but waited at least 15 minutes to be served by the one staff member who was also taking food orders and acting as waiter! Unfortunately his English was not to good as having ordered two meals only one sandwich arrived - my elderly mothers request for pate was not understood when the menu read terrine! Perhaps I was also at fault thinking that my bill for �13.80 was good value for the two of us - drinks plus eats. Another �5.50 corrected that. It started to go really wrong when my Wiltshire ham sandwich arrived. I applied mustard to find that my sandwich consisted of dry brown bread, processed ham, tasteless tomato and no butter! I was subsequently supplied with a pot with missing butter!
