The Red Lion, Steeple Bumpstead

Drove past and went in for dinner mid-week. It was quite quiet but the owners were very friendly and welcoming. Dinner was a full portion of hearty home cooked food and not the pretentious arty type you get pubs trying to pull off these days. It was nice to try some local brew for a change too. They even turned the cricket on for us! Will definitely go back to try the Sunday Roast.
