The Roebuck Inn, Wickham

I have just noticed SamBora's review of this Pub/Restaurant and I cannot believe he/she is talking about the same place that my family and I have been frequenting on a regular basis since 2004.

I have never heard a bad word said about "The Roebuck". They have an amazing reputation and it is more than justified. It is not cheap, though (neither is it overpriced). I am a firm believer in "you get what you pay for". If you want 2 meals for �5.00 then this is not the place to go (and something tells me that the very fact they mentioned the bill being inaccurate would suggest they may be more at home at a Weatherspoons!! Either that, or they were intent on complaining before they even left the house).

However, if you are looking for food cooked with the very best quality meat and accompanied by the freshest of local produce and served by the friendliest of staff, this is most definitely the place for you.

Give "The Roebuck" a try. I'm sure you won't be dissapointed. And then you can decide for yourselves. Oh, and take no notice of what is clearly a review written by a very disgruntled individual who for one reason or another obviously had a personality clash and is clearly way out of their depth in such a classy and friendly establishment.
