The Holywell Inn, Holywell Lake

After many visits to find the place was shut for renovation and then holidays I was intrigued to know what had been done to it. When I finally found it open, as a walker I felt very self-conscious in my walking gear and boots as I had to walk past people eating to get to the bar. Shame it's not open at lunchtimes but good beer and friendly people.

The Martlet Inn, Wellington

Lovely friendly village pub. Great food and beer and nothing's too much trouble. It's consistantly busy which says alot in our current times!

The Dolphin, Wellington

What a transformation! The new owners have worked wonders - very friendly, good beer, good food, good atmosphere. it now feels fresh, welcoming and a place to relax. Children and dog friendly, big garden and for a good laugh I recommend the alternative pub quiz on a Monday evening.
