The Queens Head, Petersfield

Lovely, lovely food! We visiting the Queens Head in the quaint village of Sheet after a drive down from London. We were absolutely blown away by the food the Italian "cook" (he refused to be called a chef :) presented. A small but enticing Italian influenced menu and everything cooked to perfection. Also being close to the sea, the seafood on the menu was what was in season and very fresh. The highlight was the rack of lamb for 2, which we did have to wait for it cook, but was absolutely worth it. The Chocolate Souffle Surprise was also worth the wait of being cooked fresh, we just wished we hadnt' shared it.

The only down-side to our lunch was the limited choice (and poor quality) of wines from the Bar. Although being a small locals pub I guess you can't expect a massive selection.

I couldn't recommend Sunday lunch here enough, especially as a nice change to the usual bog-standard sunday roast of most English institutions.
