The Boatman, Saltash
After 2 or 3 ill-fated takeovers in the last 18 months, there is finally someone who CARES running the place. It's been tidied up, and the new couple are making a real effort here.
The new menu (the couple who heve it used to run a fish restaurant in Looe) is great - a cut above standard pub fare, but still good value and on the basis of our meal, highly recommended (�17 for 2 main courses).
Forget the way its been recently, pay The Boatman a visit - you'll be pleasantly surprised!
