The Old Ale has no need to copy the Garden Ladder on what ale it serves
the old ale is in the good beer guide and has been a camra pub of the season award
the garden ladder has neither of these for its directors bitter that is not sold in the old ale.
and if there was loud rock music playing it was pretty much certain that you were in on the last sat of the month which is rock night
maybe you should stay in the ladder which seems more suited to your tastes and enjoy your directors bitter and whatever ale they have copied from the OAE

The Old Ale Emporium, Harringay

I dont know what the last two posts are about as I have drunk in the old ale before and after its refurb
Its a lot cleaner than before the refurb and the ales are of excellent quality changing on a weekly basis
its busy all week round and the jukebox is amazing you can also watch sport if that takes you fancy
the drinks are very reasonably priced compared to the other places in greenlanes (the ladder and salisbury)
all in all its a good place to be on a weekend or even during the week
the staff are friendly and helpful
the smoking area out front affords a view of the world passing by and its covered against the rain
