The Rising Sun, Nutbourne

Lovely pub, pretty remote, although the last three times I've visited the atmosphere has been good but not brilliant - difficult to put a finger on what wasn't quite there.

Anyway, worth a visit.

The Three Moles Inn, Selham

You'd never find it unless you were on some sort of quest to find something that someone had hidden with the clue 'I've hidden it somewhere out-of-the-way'.

And bloody marvellous because of it. It has Real Ale. It has bar billiards. It has a lost looking bookcase with books full of inapropriate jokes. It space for about 8 (thin) punters. If you stand at the bar and spend more than 3 seconds deciding, a regular will fly to your aid with 'pussy ales on the right, working up to man's ales on the left'. Put it on your list of places to visit.

The Dog and Pheasant, Brook

It's a bit of a drive for me but I go here quite a lot. I've really enjoyed it under Buzz and Juliet. Great atmosphere always, and the food has never dissapointed, on the rare occassion I felt like taking the financial hit. The Tapas is infact much more reasonably priced and I recommend it.

Good wines and beers, delightful building, and superb scenery. Worth a visit if you're in the Goldalming/Haslemere area.
