Anonymous, what are you talking about?

This place has gone from being a total dive to somewhere that my friends and I feel totally comfortable and relaxed! I've been to the Nelson a few times since it re-opened (with different groups of people) and have always had a great time.

The Landlord (Amit) came over and had a chat with us the first time we went there and made us feel very welcome. He certainly does not have the "mercenary approach" you talk about.

I have lived in the area for 5 years and walked past the Nelson all the time because it was so un-inviting (most of the time it was empty and looked closed!). I guess the only reason you felt able to leave your wallet at the table was because there was never anyone else in the pub!

However, I do agree with you, this definitely isn�t a �local boozer� and I for one am really glad!
