The White Horse, Shere

Stopped off at the pub this afternoon with a bunch of cycling friends. Biggest mistake ever.
Walked right into a frosty atmosphere given off by both the female bar staff.
Having sat down and waited for our drinks, our coffee turned up (sorry thrown onto the table) and it was not hot. a simple down in one would do it! (it was cold outside)
The waitress didn't even raise a smile or a simple polite comment of 'Enjoy'. I'm not asking for much, but basic customer service wouldn't go a miss!!!!!
The roaring fire was great, until the moody waitress near enough put it out with to many logs.....
I didn't sample the food, but going on the coffee and service I'd stay away.
And, popping to the loo was like stepping into the artic....freezing they were
My local Greasy spoon has better manners and hotter coffee......but they do sell nobby's nuts and supplied a nice chocolate with the coffee......hence the two out of 10, alright three out of 10 (location is great)
