The Sussex Oak, Warnham

When I lived in Horsham this used to be a place where me and a few mates would go and have a good quality beer or a glass of red and catch up on the week thats been. It had a breat feel to it, with an open log fire and brilliant beers on tap. Al still the same after a recent visit, except that it has become too noisy and the clientele has dipped in form. This pub used to attract the conversational type, but its all gone a bit commercial now. Still a place I would visit, but its far from the place I remember it to be a couple of years ago.

The Lass O'Richmond Hill, Richmond

Great pub/restauurant thats brilliant in the wonter, given the warm and welcoming atmosphere and open log fire! Food was excellent - could have more beers available, but the ones they do have are well looked after non the less. One of my faves in Richmond at the moment.

The Roebuck, Richmond Hill

As soon as I moved to Kingston, my girlfriend and I made sure we came to Richmond as often as possible, given its such a great place. We wandered up the hill and basically stumbled pon it. My kind of pub these days consists of good food, warm and friendly atmosphere, and welcoming feel to it. The Roebuck has alll this and more in abundance. Brilliant range of beers, excelllent wines and food thats hearty and just what the doctor ordered on a winters evening. Recently we spent a Saturday afternoon sipping warm mulled wine and looking out over the Thames and woodlands. Easily my favourite pub in/around London - please go there and sample this place, you wont be disappointed I promise you!
