The Hangleton Manor, Hangleton

Its apparent that Hovie is the manager of this pub! Sorry you dont like the comments left by others but thats what this sight is for.

I used to go in this pub but since the currrent owner took over I don't bother. As Bigburtha mentoned he is arrogant miserable and doesnt really like woking in a pub by the looks of it. Food has also gone down hill and its way over priced. Beer isnt that great either.

My advice would be to take a walk up the road for 5 mins and go to The Downsman, nice food, nice beer, lovely pub and really friendly owners.

The White Horse, Steyning

Came in here recently with 4 friends and had a fantastic meal, the steaks were impeccable (what was in that sauce it was by far the finest I have ever tasted). Many pubs could learn a thing or 2 about food if they came and sampled there fare. Service was first class more of a Michelin stared restaurant than a country pub; wine and beer were also of the highest standard. I can find no fault with this establishment what so ever. The restaurant was at full capacity and they were catering for a private dining occasion upstairs of 37 people and every one of our meals came out as if we were being catered for personally. The location of the white horse is also fantastic sitting in a prime location in lovely West Sussex town of Steyning.

Closing comment: Why bother going anywhere else! With this place here it eats up the competition, I love it well done.
