The Springhead, Sutton Poyntz

We have visited this beautifully situated pub many times for their Sunday Carvery. Richard, who owns the pub, cooks the food himself and the roasts are done slowly overnight. As a consequence they are delicious as are all the expected trimmings on offer, including cauliflower cheese and a table full of condiments. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the fire burns brightly in the winter months. The ales on offer are excellent and the other customers congenial (their children always seem to be well behaved!). What more could one wish for?
