A nice traditionl pub, good cheap food, beer is good & well kept, jukebox as well. The pub is well placed for students & anyone doing the Friargate circuit which is better than town any day. Lamb & Packet could do with being a bit bigger

D& P or 'The Dog' also has a cheap pool table. & a DJ on Wednesday nights. The Juke Box is excellent for all you Rock/metal/Alternative/Indie fans

This is one of my fave pubs been going in for 12 yrs now. Not really a biker's pub anymore but you get some in who are friendly enough. Its a Rock/Metal & alternative pubs liked by rockers/students/ex students /bikers & basically anybody who does not want to drink with chavs & townies.Friendly bar staff & Ronny the Landlord is a gent & v funny. Prices are not bad cheaper than townie pubs but a bit dearer than the student pubs its close to. Beer is kept well, has Tim Taylors Landlord & London Pride on tap, with 2 guest ales on tap. Sells carling,Stella & Carlsberg as well. Addlestons cider is a fave. The food is cheap & v good. Acoustic/open mic night on a monday night, Uni Rock society on Wednesday nite, free Pub quiz on a Thursday night. Yes its a bit dingey but wouldn't have it any other way
