A Bar 2 Far, Tooting Broadway

Over all not a bad boozer. Been through the wars a bit.
Been throuh a few managers too. The latest seems to doing a good job, Robby I believe is the new gaffer.
Seems he is trying to take this pub to new places!!
I agree the R&B is getting bit much, a good house session will never go a miss!
I was in there on a Thursday not to long ago and they were playing some Rock music! I felt this was a very good break from the norm. It was really nice to hear a bit of head banging tunes. The dj was pretty good, though the pub was not very busy he did do his best in making sure he played to a level that was agreeable, and there were a number of people singing along and doing there best head banging impressions. This is a good idea to host a rock night, and I undersatand this will, I hope become a regular thing!!
The staff seem friendly enough, although at times, a smile would be nice.
I will be going back to this bar in the future.
Lets hope that there is less r&b and more house and rock

The Selkirk, Tooting

Now I'm sorry, some of the people who have been writing reviews in my eyes are a bunch of spoon fed morons. The Selkirk is a lovely pub and is THE BEST TOOTING HAS TO OFFER.
Those people who claim they waited for 80 minutes for their food must be LYING!!! I feel you just wrote that cause you have to complain about EVERYTHING.
I have visited The Kirk on a number of occassions and everytime was a gem. Great food, great music and the staff are friendly. I understand they now have a new manager who is getting this pub back to it's former glory.
If all you complainers wanna complain about a pub in Tooting, go to JJ MOONS.
To the staff in the Kirk
Great job all of you. I will visit time and time again

The North Pole, North Kensington

I can go on and on about this pub, but will cut straight to it. What a great boozer. Some have warned me about going there, but I had to see for myself. And am I glad I did. Upon walking in the open plan that greets you gives you a warm feeling. I decided to visit in the evening, and ambience is as good a word as any. The tall South African fella behind the bar was doing a great job as setting the atmosphere, by making suttle chages to the lighting and the volume of the music as and when it was required. At first I thought he was the manager, but was shocked to here that he was only a supervisor. He informed me very kindly that the manager of the pub was also the headchef who had earlier cooked my steak(and what a steak) for me.
I will delight in telling more people about The North Pole. Thanks to the staff who made my evevning there a great one.
