The Railway Tavern, Meopham

Lovely new tenants at this pub. Toilets are now superb! Jayne & Martin are certainly working hard to turn this tired pub around it is now a fresh and contemporary place to enjoy a pint. Food is offered every day...lunch and evening. We tried the Sunday lunch which was freshly cooked with lots of vegetables and crispy golden potatoes. They have an Acoustic Jam night nice a week which we haven't sampled yet but sounds fun.
Popping in for a quick glass of wine and a pint on the way home from the station there was a friendly bunch of new regulars at the bar which was nice to see on a Monday night.
Hopefully the tenants will continue to improve this establishment and we shall certainly be returning for more roast spuds!

The Bricklayers Arms, Bromley

Fantastic pub! Have just moved into area and discovered The Bricklayers. Great choice of food with original specials. The Sunday lunches are the best I've had anywhere - lots of fresh veg = swede, parsnips crispy roast potatoes = not frozen rubbish, spring greens, Yorkshire pud and a generous portion of meat. I had The lamb which was superb. The staff were very friendly and obviously have been taught very well by the landlord and landlady who were very much hands on. I have eaten there now 11 times (not bad - only moved in 3 wks ago!) and have popped in for a drink at various times. The clientele are mixed but all seem very friendly. Yes, there are big screen tv's but volume was kept to a minimum each time I visited. I would be happy to take clients or family to this pub. Great place!
