Ring of Bells, Taunton

The former manager here is now running The Bank around the corner. Both fine establishments, but whilst The Bank offers a more interesting range of cask and keg ales (e.g. Redgate Ruby Mild), for a true pub atmosphere - including 2 roaring log fires - the Ring of Bells is the best bar none!

Victoria Arms, Wellington

Doom Bar remains the only ale on tap; not a bad pint though and can't fault the pub on service, plus a great sun trap in the beer garden at the back.

Also a fantastic beer garden at the back from which I recently took advantage of the strange phenomena known as "summer".
