The George, Croydon

Personally, the only good thing bout this pub is its cheap. i think the staff are extremly rude, the food is not all that, does seem to get busy in there but i wouldnt say it is full of a good crowd, just a load of kids going there on the cheap before moving on. Wouldnt recommend

Ok, this pub did go downhill for a long time and i see its had some bad reviews..BUT, its now under new management, the manager seems a decent guy, the staff are all so friendly and helpfull, and seems to have sorted its self out well i recken. Theres a new area at the back now with a dancefloor and dj stand..and i would recommend anyone going there, either for a pleasent drink and a nice lunch during the day, or somewhere to get your juices flowing before hitting the clubs. My friend also works there and i know recently they had a mystery customer, who gave the pub 100% on review, so cant be all that bad now! Also they are starting to do homemade sunday roasts..it wouldnt hurt to have a look and see what you think :o)
