The Hare and Hounds Hotel, Timperley

Quite possibly the least atmospheric pub in Altrincham. It's location means that it is a magnet for 'Wivvys' who catch the 371 bus to the salubrious surrounds of Timperley.
The problem with the Hare is that it has lost its charm.The room from the main entrance looks like the foyer of one of the those amusement arcades you see at service stations. The tacky football pictures also need dumping.
The barmaids are grumpy (on account of having no permanant landlord and being forced by the brewery to take mistakes out of their own wages!)

On the plus side - the bowling green is turned into a beer garden in the summer.

Litten Tree, Altrincham

You'll never see a more hilarious collection of ugly chavs from the Broomwood in your life! Brawling is a favorite pastime of the Litten Tree patron.
Going in there makes you realise that you have finally plumbed the depths of the Altrincham pub scene. Full of overweight skinheads and plump chain smoking single mothers.
A sorry collection of peasants. Go elsewhere!
