The Ship and Anchor, Ford

Last Saturday a group of 15 swimmers swam from The Black Rabbit in Arundel to Littlehampton down the River Arun raising money for our local Childrens Hospice. A group of supporters (about 9 cars full) had planned to stop at the Ship and Anchor for a drink/snack while cheering on the swimmers as they passed. However the landlady of the pub was completely unwelcoming to the first supporters to arrive that we all decided to go on down to Littlehampton where we received a warm welcome and had hot drinks and food. This was a really black spot on an otherwise very successful day.
