The Yew Tree Inn, Manuden

Unbelievably within two months of opening this completely refurbished family owned and run pub in a chic modern style manages to regularly get booked out at weekends. This is despite deliberately not advertising and allowing their reputation to spread by word of mouth. True, they had a few teething problems in December but are now flexing themselves and providing a very warm welcome and some excellent food. We have been there virtually every week since they opened and have yet to be disappointed by the menu. They also have regular theme nights which are always full.
This pub may not appeal to traditionalists but it is family friendly, and the kitchen will always try and accommodate a special request. Absolutely no boil in the bag here! Greene King IPA and Olde Trip on tap plus many lagers including excellent draft Peroni. Starting to become a firm favourite with the more discerning locals.
