Old Surrey Hounds, Caterham

A solitary drink but only if you are an ex-boxer or martial arts expert as you may need to fight your way out. This pub has a make-over but the crowd just keeps getting rougher and rougher. Makes the local 'working man's club' seem posh. I agree about the tatty town centre but I think it owes this to all the 'down and out housing'. Was a beautiful area at one time but all the cheap new housing is turning it into a ghetto. Shame because Caterham really needs a decent pub.
