The Vine, Hillingdon

Always had an enjoyable time in this pub. Good place to have a beer or two and a chat although the no smoking at the bar rule was taken to an extreme the last time I was in there - I swear I was about 5 foot from the bar having a smoke! Anyway apart from that I'd say it was worth a look.

The Swan, Ruislip

Was back up there the other week for the first time in years. Quiet for a Thursday night but at least that meant you got served quickly. Might have to pop back again soon to see if it is livelier at weekends.

The Aqua Hotel and Bar, Shanklin

Lovely place - friendly staff and great views. Thoroughly recommended.
