The Bird in Hand, Mayford

Popped in on a Sunday (about six months ago) and were told that they don't do Sunday lunch as "there's no call for it". So it was with trepidation that we called in for supper one Friday evening last month. There were bar meals available in the bar (lasagne, etc), but the attached restaurant is pretty much fish only. Nice pint of Young's best and a very well cooked Rainbow Trout (for me) and Beer Battered Fish and Chips (for Sir). Good service, with chatty waitress who asked if I would prefer my Trout served with or without its head. Will definitely return.

Enzo's Bar, Woking

Mixture of Italian and Thai cuisine. Helpful and efficient staff. London Pride, Peroni on tap. Slightly overpriced for what it was, but would definitely try again.
