The Fox, Hanwell

I have a new favourite pub and it's this one! Great selection of ales and really good Sunday roast. Lots of attention to detail with the food, like homemade Yorkshires and not overdone vegetables! I even got some cauliflower cheese. Yum.
The garden is family-friendly with a playhouse and good, dog-free space - don't worry there's a friendly courtyard where they allow dogs too! The bar area is full of just the sorts of locals you'd want in a pub - and there's a darts board. All in all a really great pub by the canal.

The Raven, Stamford Brook

I have been so disappointed with this pub recently. Having written a very positive review earlier in the year, I now agree with gastro_journalist. The food is just not good any more. The place has lost the "chic" in its shabby-chic; the staff (VERY high turnover) have been rude and unhelpful on my last couple of visits. What a shame.

The Raven, Stamford Brook

This is a great pub with greater food. Possibly the best steak I've had in London. The chef obviously knows what s/he is doing. The wine list is long enough to be interesting and not so long as to be tedious. There's always a good selection of real ales.
